Rules and Regulations

This is a content-sharing website run by the Champon administrative group. (Champon = Asian Media Activist Network)
To upload content onto this website you need to register as a member first. Everyone can browse the contents on the website with or without membership.

Unless otherwise noted, the rights and responsibilities of the content on the website belong to the person or group (“the Owner”) who uploaded the content. The Owner chooses the settings of the content – e.g. whether it should be open to the public, condition of common use, copyright, and licensing, etc.

The Champon administrative group maintains the website structure such as allocating the uploaded contents to appropriate menu categories. The admin group also enhances communication among its members, and adjusts opinions between the different members of groups. In principle, the admin group does not change the settings of the content without the Owner’s agreement. However, under the following cases, the admin group may take action without the Owner’s acceptance.

1. When technical problems occur to the website by showing the content on the website.
2. When the content obviously infringes on a third party’s rights.
3. When the Champon administrative group acknowledges that the content needs appropriate action to be taken.

About the Champon administrative group
The Champon admin group is formed by the members of Champon who use the Champon sharing server as media activists. The main roles of the admin group are technical work including running the server and making rules and regulations for the use of the website. Rules and regulations are decided through consensual decision making among the admin members. The admin group appoints a person who actually maintains the server.

Content Copyright
The name of the copyright holder is shown on each page of the website where their content appears. If there is no reference to copyright, “Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 2.1 Japan” will be applied. See: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.1/jp/

Inquiry about the contents
If you would like to inquire about any content, please ask the Owner of the content directly. The Champon administrative group does not obtain any information on the content, so we cannot answer any inquiries relating to it..

Conflict resolution
If any problems occur from the contents on this website, then the problem should be solved between yourself and the content owner. The Owner’s contact link is displayed on each content page.
If you cannot contact the Owner, or in an emergency case, please contact the Champon admin group with details of the problem. We will do our best to resolve the issue as soon as possible after discussing among the admin group members.

Handling the personal information
The personal information sent to the Champon admin group will be shared within the admin group members.
The personal information may be shared for the normal operation of the Champon website and members’ activities. However, the Champon admin group does not provide the registered personal information to any third parties without notifying the person first.
